Dr. Gabor Kandel completed his clinical training in Toronto, before proceeding to complete three years of research in Boston.  He has served as Program Director of the University Division of Gastroenterology, as St. Michael’s Core Internal Medicine Training Program Director, and as one of the co-ordinators of the annual International Course on Therapeutic Endoscopy. Teaching honours include the inaugural Louis Cole award for teaching residents in Gastroenterology and this year’s Robert Sargeant award for teaching residents in internal medicine. Presently he is Associate Professor of Medicine and practices general gastroenterology at St. Michael’s Hospital.
