Medical Management of Perianal Disease: Beyond the Basics

  2. To understand strategies to improve the effectiveness of anti-TNF therapy for perianal Crohn's disease
  3. To be aware of emerging treatment strategies to improve perianal fistula healing

Dr. Jeffrey McCurdy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the in the University of Ottawa, and a clinical investigator at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. 

He received his PhD in Immunology from Dalhousie University and his MD from the University of Ottawa. He completed his Gastroenterology training at Dalhousie University, and an advanced fellowship in IBD at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. 

His research interests focus on identifying predictors of disease related outcomes in IBD, including perianal Crohn’s disease, infectious exacerbations of IBD and venous thromboembolism.
